IN GENERAL

Since 2003, standard commercial quality production has been partly decentralized in SAFAS Tunis plants and includes castings meant for the oil, food, automotive industry and all those products that internally require the use of cast elements of special geometries. For castings of small and middle size series a semiautomatic moulding system is being used, while single and big size castings are manufactured in the new foundry.

Also this type of castings differs in its inherent quality, guaranteed by a continuous monitoring preceded by the MagmaSoft study of the casting and cooling process. The steel manufactured is refined in the AOD. After shakeout, the finishing and inspection departments manage the whole machining and control process up to the dispatch of the as cast, rough machined or finish machined castings.
